Ingredients :

  • 2 Kiwi
  •  1 cup of Fresh Strawberries or Frozen Strawberries in off season.
  • 180 ml of low fat yogurt.
  •  1/2 cup low fat milk
  • Honey according to taste .

Direction :

Peel the Kiwis and cut them into chunks.

Put the Kiwi chunks, Strawberries, Yogurt, Milk and Honey into a blender container.

The blender is sharp inside.          

Watch your fingers!

Cover the blender with the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth.

Turn the blender off and on or pulse, if needed, to break up the Strawberries.

You might wash your face and do a lot of things to treat conditions like acne and freckles, or even make your complexion glow a little more, but there is this one thing most of us tend to miss out on. Yes, we are talking about blackheads, and to be honest, they don’t really look nice. Blackheads are tiny black dots which accumulate near our nose, arms, chin, back, face, neck and shoulders.

How does honey help in removing blackheads?

• Honey is overloaded with skin and beauty benefits than just being a taste enhancer. They are known to heal a lot of conditions and are usually always at home.

Homemade Remedy Steps:

  • The remedy is a homemade blackhead-removing strip made with sticky notepaper, flour, warm water and honey. At first when my great grandma told me that sticky notepaper was in her recipe, I did laugh, but then she explained why.

  •  The first thing you do to make the homemade blackhead removing strips is make the glue that helps the strip stick to the blackheads. The glue is made by using about a tablespoon of flour, a half teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of warm water and combining the ingredients together to form a creamy warm smooth mixture that is not too thick or too thin. However, if you find the mixture is too thick add another half teaspoon of water and if you find the mixture to thin add another pinch or two of flour.

  • However, I prefer my glue mixture slightly runny back I find it dries faster and works better with sticky to the blackheads. Once the glue is made, you take one square three by three inches sticky note, fold it three ways the long way so you end up with three even sections and cut the sections into strips. Once you have three long three inch strips, dip one into the glue mixture you just made until it is soaked and then apply it carefully to your nose like you would a typically blackhead removing strip. Next, allow the blackhead strip to dry onto your nose. This process takes about thirty to forty minutes so make sure you have a good amount of time to do this step. Once the blackhead strip is dry, carefully remove it from the nose.

  • After, you should see the blackheads on the blackhead strip instead of our nose. Now this remedy also works for removing blackheads from your chin, forehead and cheeks as well. This is by far our family’s favorite blackhead remedy.

Quinoa Frutilicious Salad

This protein-packed quinoa salad is brightened up with fresh mango, strawberries and blueberries, balanced with a tart vinaigrette and refreshing mint!

With a simple tart lemon vinaigrette, this quinoa-packed fruit salad comes together in just 10 minutes without turning on the stove. It’s a protein-packed salad that’s also so incredibly refreshing and so nutritious. It’s just what you need to keep cool during every season.


1. 2 cups cooked quinoa

2. 1 mango, peeled and diced

3. 1 cup strawberries, quartered

4. 1/2 cup blueberries

5. 2 tablespoons pine nuts

6. Chopped mint leaves, for garnish


1. 1/4 cup olive oil

2. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

3. Zest of 1 lemon

4. 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

5. 1 tablespoon sugar free or stevia


1. To make the vinaigrette, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon zest and juice, and sugar in a small bowl; set aside.

2. In a large bowl, combine quinoa, mango, strawberries, blueberries and pine nuts. Stir in lemon vinaigrette.

3. Serve immediately, garnished with mint leaves.

Oat Apple Crumble


About the Recipe:

  • I’ve been meaning to make a healthy apple crumble recipe ever since I started blogging . Good things come though to those who wait and I am REALLY happy with how this guilt-free dessert recipe turned out!!
  • Apple crumble is such a comfort food and given that we seem to have been well and truly thrown into any season, this dish would not only be perfect served with yoghurt  but with custard too on a cosy night in!
  • This recipe tastes so indulgent yet is bursting with fruit and oat goodness and it contains NO ADDED SUGAR , the only sugar in this recipe is naturally occurring from the fruit which is slow release and comes with fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants!
  • One serving of oats contains 66% carbohydrates, 17% proteins and 11 % fibre thus making it a well-balance nutritional composition. Apples are high in fibre and contain polyphenols which act as antioxidants.

  1. 4 large Apples, thinly sliced
  2. 1 cup of Oats
  3. 2 Lemons Juice
  4. 2 teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder
  5. 1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder.
  6. Grated Lemon Zest
  7. A pinch of Nutmeg
  8. 2 tablespoons of Butter (plain) or Desi Ghee
  9. 2 tablespoons of brown sugar (if required, otherwise without sugar also tastes good)


  1. You will need four large apples, thinly sliced.
  2. Put them in a bowl and add juice from two lemons, along with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, grated lemon zest and a pinch of nutmeg.
  3. Mix it well and leave it for 30 minutes.
  4. In the meanwhile, make the oat mix with 1 cup of oats, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cardamom powder and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
  5. In a baking pan, spread a little oat mix at the base, add the apples and pour the rest of the oat mix over it.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of butter or desi ghee and then bake it for 40 minutes at 190 degrees C till the crumble turns brown.
  7. Serve it with Yogurt or Custard or as it is.
